Examples of Recent Work

Leadership Development Cohort with Saunders Construction

“Building What Matters” across the Rocky Mountain region, Saunders offers construction management, general contracting, design-builds, and commercial real estate development services.

  • I collaborate with Ellen Robinson of Robinson Coaching Group, who launched the first Leadership Development Program (LDP) cohort in 2016. 2024 marks the start of the ninth cohort, and my second.

  • LDP provides leaders and emerging leaders across the organization with opportunities to develop specific leadership skills and capacities as defined by Saunders.

  • Eight participants gather in person for 11 days across 10 months, plus meet 1:1 with a coach and an accountability partner between sessions. Each month, they practice, experiment, and reflect.

  • In 2024, 34 employees were nominated for the 8 slots; the program has a reputation for transforming people’s careers and personal lives for the better.

Power Circle Facilitation with Emerging Women

Emerging Women is  a global network and a leadership platform for women worldwide, with a mission to support learning and create collaboration that integrates feminine leadership into all we do.

  • Power Circles bring together 6-7 women dedicated to growing their capacity for leadership, awareness, and authenticity in a group setting.

  • The Circles meet virtually and monthly over the course of 12 months, with content and 1-1 sessions in between monthly Circle meetings.

  • I’m currently leading my second circle with women around the world who work for HP Inc.

Principal Cohorts with Poudre School District

Poudre School District is committed to the holistic education of 28,000 children in 54 schools throughout Northern Colorado.

  • In the fall of 2023, I led a series of PD sessions with all Executive Team, Principals, Assistant Principals and Deans (in separate cohorts) focused on tending staff culture. Topics included crafting/revising staff agreements, Conscious Leadership’s 15 Commitments, and feedback.

  • An opt-in cohort of 12 principals met throughout the spring semester to dig further into the topic of professional culture. We used a consultancy protocol to discuss site-based inquiry questions each month, presented by the principals.

  • In SY 23-24, I facilitated a principal mentorship cohort with all principals new to the district, their principal mentor, and the Assistant Superintendents. Each month, the group discussed a problem of practice brought by a new principal, forging connection through meaningful conversation and collaboration.

Executive Coaching with
WestEd

WestED is a national leader in research, development, and service, reimagining solutions to a more equitable society by taking on the most demanding and enduring challenges in education and human development.

  • I coached a highly-respected leader for more than a year, as he transitioned into a senior leadership role overseeing a new program. The following year, I helped him build an effective leadership team, then supported the team in formulating a strategic plan for the new program.

  • I coached two other leaders as they stepped into new roles with increased influence and responsibility. Both have received exceptional feedback and reviews in their new roles, and both have also led successful attainment of multi-million dollar grants.

Ways to Work Together

Team Development

I help teams assess their strengths and areas for growth, develop goals, and design collaborative learning experiences to reach their goals. I support leaders with behind-the-scenes planning they carry out, or I step in directly to design and facilitate meetings, work sessions, key conversations, strategic planning, or reflection.

Developmental Assessments

Growth begins by locating where you are. I offer you/your team various assessments that provide powerful frameworks for leadership development.

  • Gathering and analyzing meaningful feedback from a wide variety of perspectives is always potent. I am a certified practitioner of The Leadership Circle Profile (LCP), a comprehensive, globally respected instrument that integrates all aspects of leadership. I also conduct qualitative 360s, often in conjunction with the LCP.

  • The Enneagram serves as an uncannily accurate map on the twisty path of growing our self-awareness and compassion. It helps us choose differently, shifting from automatic patterns to intentionality. I incorporate the Enneagram in my work with teams and individuals, and I am certified as a teacher in the Narrative Tradition.

One-on-One Coaching

I offer 1:1 executive and leadership coaching, customized to your needs. My approach to coaching is developmental, with a goal of helping you self-correct and self-generate over time. Generally, I work with clients for six months or longer, though I sometimes engage in short-term coaching to sort through a specific issue or quandary.

Projects

Do you seek to build or hire a team for a collaborative project that promotes positive social or environmental change, that fosters equity and inclusion? I consult independently, and I also belong to a network of principal-level consultants who promote civic progress. Together we are a mighty force working in the arenas of strategy, engagement, and learning & evaluation.

Reach out! I’d love to explore ideas and options with you.
