Lessons and Invitations

Last time you heard from me (a while ago!), I wrote about Being in the Bardo. I allowed myself to stay in that space all season. Apparently, my intention to dampen my initiation energy included staying quiet on the keys.

Life certainly did keep unfolding without me acting as driver, and one thing I learned is that the experiment of non-initiation isn’t “over.” Instead, I see I am developing a different relationship with initiation energy that’s more long-term.

Three other lessons that dropped deeper into my bones during this time:

  • I am drawn to working with specific people (both individuals and groups). The details of what we’re up to together is less important than the power of the field that exists between us.

  • I am not at all alone. Coaching and consulting clients showed up through fascinating webs of connection that unfolded in ways I could never have orchestrated.

  • My being is peaceful. Change, loss and suffering are ever-present—and also—the steadiness of my true nature is ever-present. I can allow all my feelings without them rocking the core of my being.

In honor of emerging again, here are three very different invitations:

First, for those in Colorado, an in-person workshop in Loveland!

Enneagram and Creative Energy – Saturday, March 1st, 1-5 pm

I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Maren Gauldin for this experiential half-day workshop. Together, we’ll explore how the Enneagram can inspire and fuel your creative process, opening new doors to self-expression and growth. Learn MoreRegister Here.

Next, for fellow music lovers:

🎶 2024 YUM - A playlist of completely eclectic music I particularly enjoyed in 2024. Each year, I build a Spotify playlist called YUM, tossing in songs that catch my fancy for one reason or another across the seasons. Playlists as a form of connection…a timeless treat.

Last but not least:
💫 An invitation to know what I’m up to (and perhaps join me?) in Befriending Death. I’ll be taking this 8-week online course beginning in February, then moving into an End-of-Life Doula training course this spring. Right now, I’m doing this learning for myself and my loved ones. Eventually, this may become a path I follow professionally. We’ll see what unfolds.
